Spoonie Threads x Annie Louise Foundation: Bridging Resources for Families

Posted by Spoonie Threads Staff on

We're thrilled to share exciting news! In a heartwarming partnership, Spoonie Threads joins forces with the Annie Louise Foundation (ALF), a non-profit also rooted in Texas and co-founded by Courtney Morey and Katie Senter. Together, our aim is to provide accessible resources for families navigating the complexities of medical caregiving.

At Spoonie Threads, we understand the challenges faced by families of medically complex children. That's why we're proud to support the ALF's mission by donating a portion of proceeds from our adaptive baby bodysuits and pajamas. It's our way of giving back to the community that has welcomed us with open arms.

Courtney Morey, co-founder of the Annie Louise Foundation, shares her personal journey: "As a mother, I understand the challenges of caring for a medically complex child. When Annie was recovering from her traumatic open-heart surgery, I couldn't dress her for weeks. Dressing our babies is a maternal instinct. Once she was finally extubated from the ventilator, we still had PICC and ART lines to manage. I searched for something adaptive but couldn’t find exactly what I wanted until I was connected to Spoonie Threads, founded by a surgeon at Dell Children's, Dr. Julie Sanchez. Their fully adaptive onesie is exactly what parents need during an ICU or extended stay."

As part of our collaboration, the ALF offers a gray adaptive bodysuit adorned with the foundation's peach logo, available upon request. Created by Spoonie Threads, this special foundation-branded All Access Bodysuit provides comfort and convenience for parents during ICU stays or extended hospital visits. It's a testament to our shared commitment to supporting families and caregivers on their journey.
