June is Men's Health Month! Learn the leading health issues for men including heart disease and the need for prostate cancer screenings.

Heart disease

More men die of heart disease than any other cause of death. Men can play an active role in their heart health by eating a balanced diet, not smoking, keeping an active lifestyle, and reducing stress.

Manage your helath with regular checkups with your provider. Get screenings or tests (like blood pressure or cholesterol) that may help detect heart problems before they become more serious and know your family health history!

Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in America. In the United States, 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime.
Learn more about the symptoms to watch out for, screening recommendations, causes, and survival rates here.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation says "Unfortunately, there usually aren’t any early warning signs for prostate cancer. The growing tumor does not push against anything to cause pain, so for many years the disease may be silent. That’s why screening for prostate cancer is such an important topic for all men and their families."
