I used this waistband after my abdominal surgery. It helped a lot with mild compression, and I often forgot it was there. No fabric rolling up or unwanted moving from its originally set position! I’m very happy with it, and I still use it when my surgical site hurts.
I loved this wrap. It fits great and doesn’t make me sweat. I cried when I got it because it was so nice to get something made for an ostomate like me. I loved feeling seen
My son had a feeding tube in the past and currently has another button for a different purpose. He needed a belly band to hold the button firmly against his body and to apply pressure, which helps decrease pain. We tried an Ace bandage which helped for a few days but caused itching and discomfort. I honestly knew I could count on forer brand name, now Spoonie Threads to have a product available to help with my sons need. I went on their website and within seconds I found the indigo and black bands that are the perfect fit. They are the softest, most comfortable material and do exactly what he needs. They hold his AMT button against his body with the right amount of pressure and stay in place with no complaints from a child who has tactile and skin sensitivity issues. They wash nicely, just throw in the washing machine and hang or lay flat to dry. Soft as butter and functionality is an A+!
Although this waistband does help keep my son's G-tube in place I am disappointed that after only one month of use the bottom seem came undone and now after two months the top one is starting to unravel.
We are so sorry that your sons waistband is unraveling! We have identified and solved this issue with some stitching updates and we are happy to ship out a replacement. We will contact you directly to follow up.
-Former Brand Name, now Spoonie Threads
My son has an AMT button (much like a Mic-key button). He needed a band to keep pressure on his button for pain so we were using an ace wrap for awhile. This was not a comfortable option. Knowing I could trust former brand name, now Spoonie Threads, for a solution I went on their website and right away I found the waistband that has been the perfect solution! The waistband puts the right amount of pressure on my son’s button without causing pain, he can put the waistband on himself, washing is very simple just machine wash and hang or lay flat to dry, and the waistband we bought (the heathered colored) are extremely soft and perfect for any weather. The only hard thing about the waistband is that is does not stay up perfectly in place. However, I would not want former brand name, now Spoonie Threads, to put a grip material or strip on the band to make them stay in place as this would cause discomfort. The band just falls slightly throughout the day and my son or I puts it back in place. Nothing too bad or a reason I wouldn’t buy this product. All in all this product is something I hope former brand name, now Spoonie Threads, continues to make throughout the years as we will continue to need it. My son gets very excited when we need to order more, packages from former brand name, now Spoonie Threads, are like Christmas for us! Don’t hesitate to try this product, you will love it.
I was not paid for this review, I just love former brand name, now Spoonie Threads.
